With Olympus announcing their latest update to the Olympus Dictation app for iOS and Android, audio delivery will now be possible via OneDrive.

The Olympus Dictation App utilizes the Olympus Dictation Delivery Service (ODDS) to allow dictation authors to securely record confidential dictations on their smartphones anytime, anywhere.

The audio can then be delivered to the Authors Typists or Executive Assistants, via the ODDS system, either via email or FTP and now with this new release, direct to a Microsoft OneDrive shared cloud folder.

Being the only mobile dictation solution to deliver audio files in the globally recognized '.ds2' (DSS Pro) audio format, the Olympus Dictation App when paired with an ODDS licence is able to individually encrypt audio files, essential for confidential client or patient notes.

How does it work?

Enabling the delivery of your digital dictation using the Olympus Dictation App to a Microsoft OneDrive cloud folder via ODDS allows your audio to be shared directly with your transcription typist(s) via the cloud.

Transcription typist(s) simply link their transcription tray to the shared OneDrive folder and audio will automatically be loaded into the ODMS R7 Transcription Module ready for transcription, a pop-up will also alert the typist to the arrival of new dictation to be transcribed.

How do I enable and configure the OneDrive option?

Please note that selecting the OneDrive option in the Server Settings in the app only provides your authorization and access to the specified OneDrive folder. You will still need to ask your Olympus ODDS Admin or your Olympus dealer to enable OneDrive for your licence in the Olympus Dictation portal.
